The event, held on Wednesday night (17) at the Italian Institute of Rio de Janeiro, brought significant recognition to Brazil’s pizza scene.
At the top of the ranking, crowned as the best artisanal pizzeria in all of Latin America, is Leggera Pizza Napoletana, located in São Paulo. Masterfully led by pizzaiolo André Guidon, this establishment is already a reference in the city, boasting two strategic locations – one in Perdizes and another in Jardins. Leggera is known for its faithful adherence to the Neapolitan tradition, featuring lightly fermented dough, airy crusts, and toppings that balance simplicity with an explosion of authentic flavors. Securing the first place in the ranking confirms Guidon’s success and dedication to maintaining the excellence of his craft.

In second place, also representing São Paulo, is QT Pizza Bar, located in the Cerqueira César neighborhood. Under the leadership of the talented Matheus Ramos, this pizzeria had already made an impression on the international scene last year when it ranked 51st in the 50 Top Pizza World ranking, an impressive feat in such a competitive market. This year, in addition to securing the second spot in Latin America, Matheus Ramos was crowned the Best Pizzaiolo of 2024, a title that further solidifies his reputation as one of the great masters of pizza-making. In seventh place is Unica Pizzeria, another major name in São Paulo’s pizza scene. With a concept that values simplicity and ingredient quality, Unica Pizzeria stands out for its relentless pursuit of perfection in every slice, offering customers an authentic and refined experience.

In addition to the “Best Pizzaiolo” title awarded to Matheus Ramos, other Brazilian names stood out:
- Pizza da Mooca received the coveted “Best Pizza of 2024” award for its unique creation, the Sobrassada Pirineus. This special pizza is a true gastronomic masterpiece, combining tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, red onion, Mallorcan sobrasada, and finishing with crispy basil and a touch of honey. Initially created as a limited edition for September, the recipe was so successful that the pizzeria announced its inclusion in the permanent menu, promising to win over even more fans.
