Disneyland Paris has further elevated its culinary experience with the opening of the La Forêt Secrète restaurant, located inside the luxurious Disneyland Hotel. The new establishment, which opened its doors on Friday (7), is led by the renowned French chef Jean Imbert, holder of a Michelin star for the sophisticated Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée in Paris. The restaurant at the Plaza Athénée achieved this prestigious recognition in record time, just nine weeks after its opening in January 2022.
Now, Imbert brings his talent and creativity to the Disney universe, offering a menu inspired by some of the studio’s most iconic animations. The proposal combines French haute cuisine with a touch of fantasy, creating dishes that directly reference classics such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Ratatouille.

At La Forêt Secrète, guests can choose between a five-course menu for 200 euros, a three-course menu for 140 euros, and a special children’s option, with three courses and drinks included, for 70 euros.
The menu features a carefully selected array of sophisticated ingredients, each representing a Disney universe. Among the dishes that delight the palate are:
- Lobster, shellfish, and citrus fruits (The Little Mermaid), evoking the fresh and vibrant flavors of the oceans;
- Vegetable broth with vegetable ravioli and black truffle (Beauty and the Beast), a dish that evokes the elegance and comfort of the aristocratic dinners at the enchanted castle;
- Caribbean casserole with seared bluefin tuna, passion fruit vinaigrette, and tamarind sauce (Pirates of the Caribbean), an explosion of tropical flavors and spices;
- Chicken stuffed with dates and preserved lemon (Aladdin), inspired by the vibrant markets of the Middle East;
- Spaghetti with veal confit, veal tomato sauce, and Comté cheese emulsion (Lady and the Tramp), a sophisticated take on the classic romantic dinner;
- Mickey Soufflé with Peruvian chocolate and Piedmont hazelnuts, a light and delicate dessert that pays tribute to the iconic Disney character;
- “Enchanted” apple made with almond cookie and basil mousse, an ode to witches and spells from fairy tales.
For the little ones, the children’s menu offers equally refined options, but adapted to younger palates, including veal scallop with Comté cheese and mashed potatoes, chicken with honey sauce and candied carrots, and soup with red pumpkin gnocchi and chestnut.
Faithful to the enchanting theme of the Disneyland Hotel, La Forêt Secrète was designed to transport guests to a magical world. The décor is inspired by an enchanted forest, with a hand-painted mural depicting lush nature, as well as an imposing chandelier adorned with foliage and birds. The details extend to the utensils, with plates, cutlery, and candlesticks reinforcing the fairy tale theme.
The sophisticated atmosphere is complemented by an elegant dress code required for visitors. To make the experience even more special, the restaurant offers privileged views of the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, providing a truly unforgettable dinner.
Jean Imbert, known for his creative and nostalgic approach to cuisine, highlighted in a statement that his inspiration for La Forêt Secrète came from his childhood memories. He grew up watching Disney classics and visiting Disneyland Paris, and now translates these memories into dishes that evoke emotion and magic.
“This restaurant is heavily influenced by my childhood memories, particularly when I went to the park, as well as by my favorite movies,” said the chef.
The restaurant’s concept goes beyond traditional cuisine, creating a link between the palate and the narrative of Disney stories. Each dish is carefully crafted to provide a sensory experience that evokes the adventures and worlds of the films.
The restaurant is open for dinner only, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended due to high demand and can be made directly through the official Disneyland Paris website.
Disneyland Paris is one of the most iconic theme parks in Europe and one of the most visited destinations on the continent. Opened in 1992, it is located in Marne-la-Vallée, about 32 kilometers from Paris, France. Originally known as Euro Disney Resort, Disneyland Paris consists of two main parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, as well as several hotel options and shopping and entertainment areas.
Disneyland Park is the heart of the resort and is inspired by the magic of Disney films. With Sleeping Beauty Castle at its center, the park is divided into different themed areas:
- Main Street U.S.A.: A street in early 20th-century American style, serving as the entrance to the park, with shops, restaurants, and attractions.
- Fantasyland: The space dedicated to fairy tales, featuring classic attractions like “It’s a Small World” and “Peter Pan’s Flight.”
- Adventureland: An area inspired by adventures, with attractions like “Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.”
- Frontierland: A theme of the Old West, home to the famous roller coaster “Big Thunder Mountain.”
- Discoveryland: A futuristic area housing attractions like “Space Mountain” and “Star Tours.”
Disneyland Paris has consistently invested in new attractions and expansions to attract more visitors. One of the largest recent investments was the expansion of Walt Disney Studios Park, which included the addition of new themed areas based on franchises like “Marvel” and “Star Wars.” The expectation is that in the coming years, Disney will continue to expand and enhance its attractions.
Disneyland Paris offers a variety of accommodation options, ranging from budget hotels to luxurious ones, with themes ranging from classic Disney style to more sophisticated and elegant themes, such as Disneyland Hotel, which is close to the main park entrance, and Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, which features a superhero theme from Marvel.
Disneyland Paris is also famous for its seasonal events, such as the Halloween Soiree and Christmas celebrations, which include themed parades, special shows, and Disney character-themed decorations. The Disney Anniversary celebration is another significant event, with special performances and surprises for visitors.
Disney also works to make the experience accessible for everyone, offering various options for visitors with reduced mobility, such as adapted maps and special rest areas. Additionally, there is a wide range of dining options, from fast food restaurants to more sophisticated dinners, with characters present to interact with visitors.
Disneyland Paris offers a magical and immersive experience, where fantasy and fun are present at every corner, attracting families, couples, and Disney fans of all ages. If you have the opportunity to visit, you will discover that, more than a park, it is a place where dreams come true.
