50 Best Discovery, the digital guide that serves as an extension of the prestigious annual 50 Best rankings, has just undergone a major update. Last Wednesday (26), it was announced that 500 new establishments have been added to the platform, covering restaurants, bars, and hotels from various parts of the world, including Brazil.

With this expansion, the guide now features over 3,700 locations across more than 260 cities worldwide. In total, 240 new restaurants, 100 bars, and 170 hotels were included, further enhancing the reach of 50 Best Discovery as an essential resource for travelers and enthusiasts of fine dining and hospitality.

Brazil is among the countries with new additions to the guide, further highlighting the diversity and excellence of the country’s gastronomic and hotel scene. In Rio de Janeiro, notable mentions include Emiliano Rio, a luxurious five-star hotel located on the iconic Copacabana beach, renowned for its impeccable service and sophisticated facilities.

In Rio’s gastronomy, the platform now includes:

Haru Sushi Bar – Considered one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city, Haru is led by restaurateur Menandro Rodrigues and stands out for the quality of its ingredients and the refined technique in preparing its dishes.

Toto and Oseille – Both located in Ipanema and headed by chef Thomas Troisgros, heir to one of Brazil’s most important culinary traditions. The two establishments reflect his creative signature and excellence in the kitchen.

Lilia – Located in downtown Rio, the restaurant led by chef Rafael Scatolin offers a dynamic menu that constantly changes to highlight fresh and seasonal ingredients, providing a unique culinary experience with each visit.
In São Paulo, 50 Best Discovery has added several new addresses, representing the city’s vibrant culinary scene. Among them:

Cora – Located on the top floor of a building in downtown São Paulo, this restaurant offers not only a privileged view but also a menu that emphasizes seasonal ingredients, under the leadership of chef Pablo Inca.

Uruguay – Montevideo now has three new establishments in the guide, including Savarin and 1921 Restaurant, both offering contemporary takes on Uruguayan cuisine.

Bolivia – Two restaurants were added: Casa Charo in Samaipata and La Rufina in La Paz, both highlighting local ingredients in their culinary offerings.

Argentina – Buenos Aires, a key gastronomic hub, now features Picaron, a new standout restaurant in the Argentine capital.

Chile – The guide included Tierra Patagonia, a hotel located in the breathtaking Torres del Paine region, one of the country’s most stunning destinations.

Panama – Panama City received two new entries: Mai Mai, a bar specializing in innovative cocktails, and La Tapa Del Coco, a restaurant offering a creative fusion of local flavors.

Paraguay – Asunción, the capital, was added with Cocina Clandestina, a restaurant offering experimental high-end menus.

Costa Rica – San José is now part of the guide’s culinary map, with the addition of Conservatorium, a restaurant known for its contemporary approach.

Dominican Republic – For the first time, Santo Domingo joined the platform with the restaurants Ajualä and MoriSoñando, both focused on modern reinterpretations of Caribbean cuisine.
